My name is Viktor Acs, also known as Mindemez. I’ve been involved in photography for more than a quarter of a century, and within that, I’m interested in experimentation and new forms of visual representation.
Through my photographs, I conduct experiments that offer a deeper insight into the finer details of the world. I’m drawn to things that are mostly unnoticed: the stillness of a surface, a subtle texture, or the way time and light leave their mark on space.
I always have my camera with me, observing everyday life to see when and where I might encounter unexpected moments. An unexpected moment can arise anywhere - whether on the street, with friends, or even at home in the quiet of a room, where I can study the form and presence of an object.
For me, it’s a matter of mindfulness. I prefer to take my time and immerse myself in what I’m doing. I spend hours doing this, even though it seems like a short time. I’m most creative in this state of mind, when all my attention is focused on the work. And if you like any of my works, I’m happy to send you one or more prints, no matter where you are in the world.
